2011 Summer Camp Schedule
Piano Camp for Beginners
June 20 – 24 – one 75 minute class/day
June 27 – July 1 – one 75 minute class/day
Morning and afternoon classes will be offered.
For children who have never played the piano but would like to try it. This is a great way to explore the fundamentals of piano without a long-term investment. Classes will be organized by age.
Guitar Camps
June 20 – 24 – one hour class/day
Morning and afternoon classes will be offered
June 27 – July 1 – one hour class/day
Morning and afternoon classes will be offered
Ages 8-10, 11-13
Introduction to guitar for students. Students will learn how to read chord charts, play basic chords, and employ simple strumming techniques. A variety of pop, folk, and blues styles will be introduced. Classes will be organized by age.
Music Rocks!
June 20 – 24 – one 90 minute class/day
Morning and afternoon classes will be offered
Ages 5-7, 8-10, 11-13
An interactive week of fun in which campers explore rock music through playing Orff instruments, movement and music games. No previous musical experience required. Classes will be organized by age.
Music Camp – Classical Week
June 27 – July 1 – one 90 minute class/day
Morning and afternoon classes will be offered
Ages 5-7, 8-10, 11-13
Campers will explore classical music through a variety of musical activities. Prior music lessons not necessary but this class would be a helpful addition to any student's musical education. Classes will be organized by age.
